Blam Blam here we go again!

Wassup my lovely peepety peeps! Blog Numero three'o is under way and cranking!

BIEOW BIEOW BIEOW BIEOW This is the ice cream police! Put you're hands in the air, you are under arrest! Put down the Ice Cream, let her go.....

As I mentioned in my last post I really want to mention a bit of a new favourite of mine, Little Red. These guys are awesome. Their infectious Choruses and 1950's harmony style really get my feet moving in the direction of the D-F and my heart racing rapid (thank you metronomy).

With their debut single, Waiting http://tiny.cc/8O2Hl they jumped onto the scene in their straight and skinnies and haven't looked back since. As with Boy and Bear (See first Blog Post) Little Red were featured on Triple J Unearthed, who once again showed great insight to find and promote great up and coming talent. The band followed this up with performances at the V Festival, Pyramid Rock Festival, Big Day Out and many more.

A favourite track of mine has to be witchdoctor http://tiny.cc/2Qt4q
The very first guitar riff attracts us as it is energetic and the shout out "YEOW" gives the listener an immediate sense of fun on stage. Followed by the guitars slightly muffled ups and downs while the first verse begins and then the continued momentum of the song really set the tone for a great track which will be listened to over-and-over.

With all but the drummer contributing to either lead or back up vocals, these guys can and will sing your pantaloons off. They know the style they want and they know how to create the sound they want. The chorus, in typical Little Red style, makes you want to sing it out loud and the lyrics throughout the verses are simple yet sophisticated. Though often compared to the Beach Boys in relation to harmony and sound, I do feel they are actually in a field of their own and are truly unique.

Definitely check out their album, Listen To Little Red, and listen out for the stand out tracks like Cocal-Cola (as featured on the official Underbelly soundtrack) http://tiny.cc/APmBu and my personal favourite Speedo (sorry no video.. guess you will have to buy the album... Go on, you know it's going to be awesome!)

If you are worried about how this style of music will transfer to a live performance, just check out how this Live Radio show performance sounds, I think you will agree they are just as good if not better =) http://tiny.cc/biy3p

Anyways, I hope you have enjoyed this and listening to some good music (unless your name is Brian, then I hope you did not enjoy this) that's it for now so until next time RARGH RARGH RARGH RARGH The bear is coming the bear is coming, look out children the bear is coming.

YEOW!
